Family Day: Director’s Cut

Step behind the scenes of filmmaking at the Tampa Bay History Center’s Family Day: Director’s Cut! Families are invited to explore the creative techniques that help bring stories to life on screen through a series of hands-on activities. Discover the art of Foley and experiment with creating sound effects using everyday household objects. Design costumes for paper doll characters and explore how filmmakers use lighting, color, shadows, and camera angles to shape the mood and atmosphere of a scene. This interactive family program offers visitors an opportunity to explore the many creative roles involved in filmmaking while discovering how thoughtful design, sound, and visual choices can transform a story. Join us in the Wayne Thomas Gallery between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for this experience. Entry to attend is through regular admission. GET TICKETS
