Book Discussion Betsy Ross and the making of America

Recommended for adults. Registration recommended. Synopsis: The creation of the first American flag and the story of Betsy Ross are inseparable, but few people know much about Ross beyond the iconic story. Biographer Marla Miller portrays a Philadelphia businesswoman whose life illuminates the lives of many of her contemporaries in revolutionary America. You will also have a chance to fill out a question card. These questions cards may be used during our “Afternoon with Marla Miller” event on November 9.
